Apple Valley’s assistant town manager of finance and administration has been charged with felony hit and run in a crash that occurred on I-15 in Rancho Cucamonga on July 20, 2017.
Marc Puckett, 55, of Aliso Viejo, was charged in connection with the injury accident after he left the scene without rendering aid or waiting for police. According to the California Highway Patrol, Puckett was driving a 2011 Cadillac CTS that collided with a 2011 Toyota Prius driven by Lola Espinoza of Rancho Cucamonga. Espinoza suffered several injuries as the result of the accident and received treatment at Kaiser Permanente hospital in Ontario.
Puckett’s Cadillac was later found abandoned on the side of the freeway; he was not in the car when it was discovered. The CHP said that its investigation showed Puckett was driving at an unsafe speed at the time of the crash.
