A 50-year-old man riding his bicycle on a Santa Ana roadway was struck by a car and critically injured on Christmas Day, according to a news report.
Santa Ana police said that the unidentified bicyclist was riding in the 100 block of North Euclid Street when he was struck by a vehicle. He was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange in critical condition. Police said it wasn’t clear if the bicyclist was riding in the street or was in a crosswalk when the accident occurred.
The driver stayed at the scene to be interviewed by police; the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
