A 68-year-old machinist at Disneyland was seriously injured after he was struck by a Space Mountain vehicle, according to a news report.
A Cal-OSHA investigator said that the unidentified machinist was returning a vehicle that had been out of commission to the Space Mountain ride when something went wrong and the vehicle hit him. The victim suffered back, chest and head injuries and was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
A Disneyland Resort spokeswoman said that the ride was returned to normal operation the following day.
