A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of DUI after he drove the wrong way on I-5 and caused a head-on collision that injured another driver.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Sean Adam Stoddard was driving north in the southbound lanes of I-5 in Mission Viejo when he collided head-on with a Ford Mustang near La Paz Road. The 42-year-old driver of the Mustang was taken to a local hospital with injuries.
Stoddard attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended and arrested by police on suspicion of driving under the influence and hit-and-run.
