A 77-year-old Huntington Beach man has died after being involved in a Santa Ana bicycle accident, according to a news report.
Santa Ana police said that Thuc Van Nguyen was riding a bicycle north on La Bonita Street when he was hit by a Toyota T-100 pickup truck as he attempted to cross the intersection in the 11000 block of Westminster Avenue. He died at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck stayed at the scene to talk with police, who said he did not appear to be intoxicated at the time of the fatal accident. The driver told police he did not see Nguyen because it was dark.
