A 79-year-old Irvine woman has been killed after she was struck by an SUV in the parking lot of the University Town Center shopping center, according to a news report.
Irvine police said that Hedy S. Chou was walking on a private roadway within the University Town Center shopping center near Cornell and Harvard when she was hit by a Toyota Highlander. She was taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, where she was pronounced dead.
Authorities are still investigating the fatal pedestrian accident; no arrests or citations have been reported.
