A 22-year-old Lake Forest man died after losing control of his Mitsubishi Lancer on a curving off ramp and hitting a utility pole, according to a news report.
Xai Lor was pronounced dead at the scene and his 20-year-old passenger was transported to Riverside Community Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Authorities say that Lor was exiting onto Blaine Street from northbound Interstate 215 when he apparently lost control of the vehicle and slammed into a utility pole.
California Highway Patrol investigators believe that Lor was traveling at an unsafe speed when his left front tire hit a curb, causing the vehicle to veer across Blaine and hit a utility pole.
