An 81-year-old woman from Orange has died after she was hit by a pickup truck while crossing the street in Orange.
The Orange Police Department said that Jiuan Aylward was crossing the street at North Canal Street and East Visa Del Playa Avenue when she was hit by a pickup truck. She was transported to a local hospital, where she later died.
According to authorities, there is no crosswalk at that intersection. The pickup driver stayed at the scene and was not cited or arrested. The investigation into the fatal pedestrian accident is ongoing.
