A 27-year-old Santa Ana man has been arrested in connection with the hit-and-run death of a 75-year-old pedestrian, according to a news report.
Miguel Chavez Ceja was killed by a hit-and-run driver while taking his morning walk on January 10 in Santa Ana. Police arrested Victor Manuel Arredondo Anaya, 27, of Santa Ana on a felony count of hit-and-run causing death, as well as misdemeanor counts of vehicle or manslaughter without gross negligence and driving on a suspended license.
Officers arrested Anaya after a witness saw a vehicle matching the description released by police, and investigators confirmed the damage to Anaya’s vehicle was consistent with the fatal hit-and-run.
