Three seniors were taken to the hospital after they ate marijuana-laced brownies at a Huntington Beach funeral, according to a news report.
Police said that the three victims, who are in their 70s and 80s, had eaten brownies that were passed around at the funeral service. Later, the three seniors reported feeling dizzy and nauseous and were taken to Hoag Hospital. All are expected to recover.
Investigators said the brownies had been brought to the service in tribute to the deceased, who had used medical marijuana. The three seniors are from Huntington Beach and Newport Beach, and told police no one had informed them the brownies contained marijuana.
