An unidentified 46-year-old woman has been killed after being hit by a car on the Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach, according to a news report.
Huntington Beach police said that the woman was walking north through the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Newland Street when she was hit by a Toyota Sienna. She was taken to a local trauma center, where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Sienna, an 81-year-old Seal Beach man, was not injured and stayed at the scene to talk with police. Investigators were trying to determine whether he ran a red light or if the woman was in a crosswalk at the time of the fatal pedestrian accident.
